Principal's Corner

Welcome to Dauphin Junior High School

Welcome to the Dauphin Junior High School web site.  Please take advantage of the features we offer online as an additional resource in educating your child.  Our faculty takes great pride in searching for various methods of instruction in order to engage your child in each subject.  Please know that our faculty, staff, and administration appreciate communication concerning your child's education.  Please take the time to ask your child about school each day.  An open dialogue with your child about school will remind them of the concern you have for their educational progress.

8th grade parents: As the school year goes forward we ask that you remind your child of the Alabama Reading and Math Test and Stanford Achievement Test.  These tests are utilized to determine if your child is at or above grade level in reading and math.  These tests are analyzed in evaluating class schedules for each student in the following school year.

9th grade parents: Your child's high school years have begun.  Your child has begun accumulating a grade point average which will have an impact on opportunities after high school.  Every 9th grade student is earning credit at Dauphin Junior High School which will be recorded on a transcript and sent to colleges, trade schools, the military and other institutions which will play a great role in your child's life after high school.  I urge you to begin discussing the importance of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam with your child. Passing the Alabama High School Graduation Exam is your child's "ticket" to cross the stage as a graduate of Enterprise High School at the conclusion of their senior year.  Please assist us in reinforcing the importance of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam during your child's high school years.

The faculty, staff, and administration of Dauphin Junior High School consider an emphasis on safety, discipline, and academic rigor as a means to have a positive impact on a child in which he or she can carry into their adult years.  We look forward to working with you and sharing in another successful school year in which we see our students experience success academically and develop socially.  If I or a member of our staff can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to call or email.

Thank you,
